Stephen Eddie has over 15 years of experience in content strategy, newsroom operations and digital publishing. As managing editor at Retail Week, he plays a leadership role in the execution of the brand’s editorial strategy, overseeing the production team to deliver high-quality content across Retail Week’s digital platforms, newsletters and events.
Since joining Retail Week in 2018, Stephen has driven the transition to a web-first production model, introduced innovative storytelling formats, and enhanced audience engagement through data-driven strategies. His role spans editorial planning, audience analytics, and hosting and presenting at events.
Previously, he held senior editorial roles at Health Service Journal, where he managed the news desk and championed the use of data visualisation. HSJ was recognised with multiple PPA Awards, including Magazine of the Year.
Stephen began his career at BMI Research as a subeditor.
