Founder and chief executive My-Wardrobe
My-Wardrobe became the latest in a long list of etailers to receive venture capital investment with a £6m injection to drive the growth of the business. It will allow the etailer to bring in more premium brands, expand abroad and reach its target of £100m sales in the next five years. My-Wardrobe has around 900,000 visitors each month and nicely fits into the premium fashion position between Net-a-Porter and Asos.
Curran along with her husband and co-founder Andrew are often lead speakers at both etail and fashion events and have continued to achieve strong growth since its launch in 2006.
Curran has brought in Grazia founder Fiona McIntosh as a consultant creative director to build on editorial content on the site and she will be on hand for the planned re-launch of the brand next year.
My-Wardrobe also had its first taste of bricks and mortar this year with a pop-up shop to promote its denim bar in London’s Carnaby Street. It is considering more pop-up shops in other big cities to help market the brand further.
Curran is a smart, sociable and energetic businesswoman, who continues to attract interest and investment in the company she and her husband have put so much into. She understands inherently the fashion and media worlds and knows how to bring these together to create a great etail proposition.
