There’s just a few days left to get your entries in for the BT Retail Week Technology Awards.

The event recognises the best retail technology around – from the infrastructure supporting international expansion, to the cleverest supply chain systems.

Technology has become a central part of a retailer’s competitive advantage, and this deserves to be recognised. IT teams across the industry have made a difference everywhere, and this is a chance to publicise their efforts and make sure they know how important they are to a business.

It’s not an easy time to find talented technology staff – everyone is battling for the best talent. Entering these awards is a great way to trumpet not just how well the business as a whole is doing, but how unique your IT staff are.

We’ve already had some brilliant entries, but we want to make sure we know of every interesting technology project in the industry. We want to hear from everyone who has excelled at innovation, implemented a new project smoothly, or come up with a great idea this year.

The categories touch on a broad range of IT subjects, so there’s likely to be something every retailer should be entering. At a time when the best retailers are becoming as known for their technology as for their retailing prowess, it’s important to make sure your business is seen as being up among the best.

The deadline for entries is Friday March 22nd, and the ceremony is on June 19th. The awards will also be judged by the best in the industry, from Sienne Viet, head of mobile at Kiddicare and Morrisons, to Paul Coby, CIO at John Lewis.
