Tesco Bank and Boots UK have partnered with Cable & Wireless Worldwide to supply data and telephone services to improve customer service and business operations.

Tesco Bank will use the network to support its banking and insurance customer service centres in Newcastle and Glasgow. The system will ensure customer calls are routed through to the appropriate member of staff, with the necessary information for them to handle the calls in a timely and efficient manner.

For Boots, the partnership will provide a single, secure and high-speed network to underpin all of Boots UK’s critical communications. In addition, Cable & Wireless Worldwide’s Application Performance Management (APM) will offer Boots UK real-time visibility and network control, enabling business critical applications to be prioritised depending on time of day and to cater for sales peaks.
