Video rental chain boss releases the reins, but stays as a non-executive director
Geoffrey Hopkins, co-founder of Choices parent Home Entertainment, is to stand down as non-executive deputy chairman. He will remain on the business's board as a non-executive director, but be replaced as deputy chairman by Michael Riding, another non-executive director, on December 1. Riding will chair the retailer's audit and remuneration committees.

Choices Video runs 225 UK outlets specialising in video and DVD rental and sale. Hopkins established the chain in 1985 with Ian Muspratt and Diane Gardner. Muspratt is executive chairman of Home Entertainment.
