The ad will first appear in an X-Factor ad break on November 3 and will also feature in a break during the Pride of Britain Awards on Tuesday, November 6.

The animated ad, called ‘Elsie’s gift’, comes just before the 50th anniversary of man walking on the moon and features Elsie receiving a gift from Very, which inspires her to head into space when she grows up.

Shop Direct chief marketing officer Sylvia Woon said: “The greatest gift you can give someone is the power to be whoever and whatever they want to be – and that’s what we’ve focused on this year.

“Our ‘find their gift’ campaign aims to put Very at the heart of Christmas, inspiring consumers to give that one gift that could help a loved one realise their dreams.”

The advert was created by independent creative agency St Luke’s and animators Against All Odds.
