Multichannel retailers performed well in IMRG’s top 50 online retailers ranking, with a number of high street brands rising in the rankings in April.

Around three-quarters of brands that climbed the ranking in 2015 have a physical store presence. John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Next and Boots all climbed the list compared with a year ago, while the overall biggest riser was Wickes, up 11 places.
AVG and Telefonica O2 were the biggest fallers this time, dropping 10 places apiece. Followed by Lastminute.com (-8) and Matalan (-7). Other fallers in the list include Sainsbury’s (-6), New Look and Asos, both down 5 places from April 2014

Only two of the top 10 clothing retailers by tablet are pureplay, however this rises to 4 in the smartphone rankings.
Tina Spooner, chief information officer at IMRG said: “It is interesting that young fashion brands dominate the top 10 apparel smartphone and tablet rankings and, with almost two-thirds of traffic to clothing websites now coming via mobile devices, it is evident that retailers are increasing their investment in mobile optimisation and apps.”
