Consumer confidence plummets at sharpest rate in 21 years after Brexit

Consumer confidence remained in negative territory in May as “Brexit gremlins” continued to play on the minds of British shoppers.

Consumer confidence has nosedived in the wake of the EU referendum result as shopper sentiment fell at its fastest rate since 1994.
