Londis was the retailer that recorded the biggest drop in store numbers in the year to mid-October, according to the Local Data Company.

Despite the explosion of convenience retailing, Londis has been faced with growing competition in the sector and significant food price deflation.
Former owner Musgrave launched a turnaround plan for the Londis and Budgens businesses last year, before selling it to Booker Group for £40m on September 2.
Three of Arcadia Group’s retailers – Burton menswear, Evans and Dorothy Perkins – are also in the Local Data Company’s list of the top 30 declining retailers.
Arcadia recently struck a partnership with Tesco that involves the fashion group opening shop-in-shops across five of the grocer’s larger stores.
Bank is not included in the above table, but had 84 stores last October. It collapsed into administration in January.
