The retail weather forecast from Saturday October 12 to Friday October 18, 2019

The week last year

Seasonable to cool in the North, a bit warmer than normal in the South. Mostly dry.

The week this year

Temperatures will generally be seasonable to a bit warmer than normal. Ireland and Northwestern Britain will also be above last year, but the Southeast will come in a bit cooler than last October’s lingering warmth.

The country will be wide open to Atlantic fronts so rainfall will end up well above last year and normal.

Mindset

Weather-driven demand will be close to normal, although the Southeast will see the strongest comparables vs last year. Precipitation will slow footfall while favouring rainwear, light jackets and boots.
