Luxury department store Liberty has become the latest retailer to jump on the Bridgerton bandwagon as it unveils its new immersive pop-up experience in partnership with the hit Netflix and Shondaland TV series.
Some might say it’s the collaboration of the season. The ‘Liberty Fabrics and Bridgerton’ experience allows customers to browse the new fabrics collection, as well as a range of props and costumes taken from Bridgerton episodes.
The immersive pop-up space can be found on the fourth floor of the Liberty store, off Regent Street, and houses “decadent room sets” inspired by some of Bridgerton’s most famous scenes and locations.
Open to the public until July 2, 2024, Liberty said it invites fashion and Bridgerton enthusiasts alike to visit the pop-up.
The new collection of fabrics on offer as part of the collaboration includes nine new designs, inspired by three chapters of the story.
Liberty said the collection embeds its classic floral prints with the “captivating narrative” of Bridgerton, of which the third season has been highly-anticipated. Prices for the exclusive fabrics collection start from £29.95 per metre and £69.95 per metre for silks.
An in-store confectionery cart will also offer limited-edition Bridgerton biscuits for customers.
As part of the tie-up, a gown has been exclusively created by fashion designer Huishan Zhang and worn by Bridgerton actress Hannah Dodds and this year’s ‘diamond of the season’. The gown will be available and in a bid to emphasise the “artistry of the Modiste”, marking a nod to the character Madame Delacroix.
This follows in the foosteps of beauty retailer Lush, which also celebrated the return of the TV series with a Bridgerton-themed secret garden pop-up, in its Glasgow flagship store earlier this month.
