Selfridges has unveiled its Christmas window and in-store displays across all its stores – London, Birmingham, Manchester and online.
Selfridges’ futuristic theme reworks scenes from traditional stories including Rapunzel and Cinderella and features a 1.5-tonne, crystal mirrored Christmas tree. Each story is “re-imagined through a modern lens” with futuristic elements throughout.
At the Oxford Street store, it took over 100 people working non-stop rotated shifts for the past 10 days to put the windows together.
The idea behind the window displays, entitled ‘Future Fantasy, a Christmas for Modern Times’, aims to turn the usual colour palettes and materials used for Christmas on their head.
The London store features over 100 mirrored Christmas trees, 85,000 baubles and 15,000 metres of LED lights.
