The fashion giant confirmed plans to open its first store in Mumbai in July this year, followed by an announcement earlier this month that a second store in the city is pending in an “ongoing commitment” to expansion in India.

Uniqlo currently has 10 bricks-and-mortar stores in India but, since its launch in the country in 2019, its focus has remained in and around New Delhi.
