Vintage-inspired fashion retailer Rixo, which was founded in 2015, has opened the doors to its new London flagship on King’s Road in Chelsea.

The new 5,000 sq ft space, which the fashion retailer calls a true “house of Rixo”, opened its doors earlier this month and brings its store estate to a total of three, along with those on Marylebone High Street and Carnaby Street.

The new Rixo flagship allows customers to shop its full product range including bridalwear and accessories, and it also offers private appointments within its bridal suite, which was designed by London-based design studio Cúpla.

Leaning into its sustainability efforts, the retailer invites customers to bring old Rixo clothing to the flagship store to exchange for vouchers to spend on new products.

Rixo said it will resell the pre-loved items for a lower price, providing “circularity of product” and offering an entry-level price point for shoppers.

The flagship will incorporate Rixo’s rental initiative and an alteration service will also be available in store.

Shoppers can enjoy branded hot drinks and snacks from its coffee kiosk, as well as a range of cocktails, wine and beer from restaurant group the Kudu Collective’s new in-store bar the Smokey Kudu.

Rixo co-chief executive and brand director Henrietta Rix said: “Orlagh and I wanted the space to be a true reflection of our style and personalities. We love an eclectic mix of both contemporary and vintage and we feel Cúpla Studio has achieved this perfectly.

“The space had to feel like us, all be it a more polished version of our living room that we first launched the brand in.

“Sustainably was also key throughout the project and we have used leftover marbles for the flooring and recycled plastics for our mannequins and VM displays. It’s been our biggest investment to date and as female founders with no investment it’s been a real passion project!”
