The playful advert features a small goat dressed up in a beret, scarf and jacket strutting through snow-covered fields as her owners look out from a window.
Justifying the decision to buy the goat a designer outfit, the man tells his wife: “She’s had such a hard year. She bloomin’ well deserves it if you ask me.”
The ad is voiced over by British actor Bill Nighy with the tagline: “After the year we’ve had, everyone deserves to feel special this Christmas.”
To ensure crew numbers were kept to a minimum, TK Maxx shot the advert in Scotland and it was livestreamed to the creative team.
Group brand and marketing director Deborah Dolce said: “We wanted to recognise the difficult year that we’ve all had and at the same time offer a bit of joyful optimism. This charming ad is a playful reminder that the gift of giving is really special and can bring such sweet pleasure to all.
