Retail sales jump 4.3% in December as food and fuel prices fall

Retail sales in December jumped 4.3% compared to the previous year, according to results from the ONS.

Retail sales in December rose 4.3% year on year as shoppers flocked to supermarkets to buy fuel and take advantage of falling oil prices.
