Argos’s top 10 toys for Christmas list is dominated by interactive toys, such as the new Furby, Disney’s talking Sofia doll and a Flying Fairy.

Kids are set to put more interactive and digitally-led products on their wish lists to Santa this Christmas, according to general merchandise retailer Argos.

The new Furby learns different commands the more it is played with, while the Teksta Dog is a robotic pet that responds to voice and touch.

Disney’s Dusty, a remote control plane from the film Planes, flies around the room controlled by two remotes which fit over each hand, so the plane moves as the child moves.

Meanwhile, Disney’s First Talking Sofia doll speaks when activated and Sesame Street’s Elmo Big Hugs asks for cuddles and sings lullabies for bedtime.

Yet another interactive toy includes Flying Fairy by Flutterbye, as the fairy glides through the air once it senses the child’s hand movements.

Children’s tablets will also be a key product again this Christmas, as both the LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra and the newest version of the VTech Innotab made Argos’s list.

But more traditional toys will still be key, with Lego’s Star Wars R2D2 and the Lego Friends Dolphin Cruiser on the list. The new Nerf gun, the Nerf Rapid Elite, will be a must-have, while Monopoly continues to be a popular product – its new Monopoly Empire is also on the list.
