The Entertainer defies high street gloom as sales and profits soar

The toy specialists’ pre-tax profits soared 29% to £14.7m and sales were up £37.3m to £204.4m during the year according to The Times.

The Entertainer was founded by husband and wife Gary and Catherine Grant who pocketed a £2.6m dividend following the results.

However, the couple give 10% of the toy retailer’s profits to charity.
