The new ad, which Greggs called “playful”, is fronted by Nigella as she cooks in her kitchen before devouring the new Greggs Christmas menu.
The ad comes as a first for Greggs as it reveals the return of its “iconic” Christmas menu including customer favourites such as the festive bake, Christmas lunch baguette and gingerbread latte.
New additions include a festive flatbread, toffee fudge muffin, and chocolate and hazelnut doughnut. Greggs has also confirmed the return of its vegan festive bake that wasn’t on last year’s menu.
Known as the ‘Queen of Christmas’, Nigella calls Christmas her “favourite time of the year” as she tucks into a Greggs festive bake in the advert.
The final scene of the ad pans to Nigella’s kitchen table, which is filled with Greggs products before finishing with her holding up a Greggs hot drink.
Nigella Lawson said: “As a longtime fan of Greggs, and especially their Sausage Rolls, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu.
“Greggs brings joy wherever and whenever you choose to enjoy it, and I’m delighted to be sharing this with the nation this Christmas.”
The Greggs Christmas menu will launch in shops nationwide from November 7.
