McColl’s said a “wide range of essential goods” would be made available on the Deliveroo app including groceries, soft drinks, confectionery, snacks, beer, wine, toiletries and household goods.

Deliveries will initially be made from more than 120 McColl’s stores, which will expand to over 300 stores across the country.

Deliveries will be placed through the app and fulfilled by Deliveroo’s rider network “within 30 minutes” and all deliveries will be contact-free, ensuring the safety of consumers.
