Grocery giant Sainsbury’s has unveiled its “reimagined” Cobham supermarket, revamped to “showcase Sainsbury’s latest product offer and state-of-the-art format design”.

Following customers in Cobham telling Sainsbury’s they wanted “more creativity and excitement while shopping”, the retailer has spent the last few months revamping the store in Surrey.

The result is the new-format store, which puts Habitat and Tu products “front and centre”, has a brand-new fresh food and produce hall, and contains a revamped Argos shop.

The store also features a new Costa Coffee branch and a new Greggs, located in the adjoining petrol station, as well as new and refreshed product ranges, renewed signage, furnishings and floors, and an improved checkout area.

As part of Sainsbury’s push to be net zero by 2035, the store also features the most energy-efficient refrigeration and heating systems to make it more sustainable.

Cobham store manager Ben Taw said: “It’s been absolutely fantastic to fully reopen our new-look supermarket for customers in Cobham today.

“I’d like to thank my colleagues, our supplier partners and everyone in the wider community for all your support and patience in getting us to this stage.

“We’re really excited to show off our refreshed store and to keep doing more to help our customers in Cobham feel inspired, whatever they are looking for when they shop with us.”
