The UK has fallen back into deflation as a smaller than usual rise in clothing prices and falling fuel costs drove the inflation rate down.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in the year to September, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Data from the ONS last month also found a smaller rise in clothes prices was the reason the inflation rate was pegged back to 0% in August.
The UK fell into deflation for the first time since records began in April, when it also dropped by 0.1% due to falling fuel costs and cheaper travel fares.
Deflation only lasted for a month as higher air fares, food and petrol prices drove the CPI back into positive figures.
The latest figures mean inflation has been at or around 0% for most of 2015.
