Homebase has collapsed into administration with most its stores acquired by CDS Superstores, owner of variety discounters The Range and Wilko. CDS Superstores bought the Homebase brand name and intellectual property, as well as up to 70 of its UK stores. Homebase’s other 49 stores are reportedly set to continue to trade as usual while joint administrator, Teneo Financial Advisory, searches for buyers.
