Having brought Asda’s Andy Bond on board as Wiggle’s chairman, avid cyclist Cobbold is pushing the profile of the online bike retailer. Rumours have circulated that private equity owner Isis wants to sell the business, but this
has been denied. Nevertheless, he’s presided over a sales jump of 67% to £55.6m a year, and Cobbold has said the company would consider making the move from online to multichannel by opening stores, though no firm plans have yet been announced.
