US lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret opened its first store in the UK this month, at Westfield’s Stratford City shopping centre.

The highly anticpated launch comes days before the Olympics - the US brand and retailer raced to opened the single floor 1149 sq m store ahead of the sporting spectacular’s starting gun and the illuminated pink fronted fascia was drawing crowds from the off.

Inside, the store - which represents the retailer’s latest format - was divided into several rooms, all branching off a main room which has a large table and showpiece lampshade as the introduction to the shop.

The windows were also creating a buzz, with winged torsos clad in the product and set against velvet curtains.

A second store is due to open this summer in Bond Street, which will trade from three floors, although a date remains to be confirmed for its completion.
