Former owner John Shannon has bought back the Adams childrenswear brand and the 120 remaining stores.

The company fell into administration on New Year's Eve,since when administrator PriceWaterhouseCoopers has closed 147 stores.

1,900 jobs have been saved by the deal with Shannon, who previously rescued the business out of administration in February 2007.
