Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton has opened a new store and cafe at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Located at terminal two, the new store and cafe in partnership with chef Cyril Lignac, furthers the brand’s bid to be seen as a house of “travel and culture”.
Louis Vuitton’s store can be found centrally at the terminal to “accommodate domestic and international departures” and was designed in collaboration with Marc Fornes.
The luxury brand said the store is striking due to its “aerodynamic facade” and it will cater mainly to women as well as including a selection of its menswear accessories and leather products.
Louis Vuitton has restaurants, cafes, chocolate shops and airport lounges across the world but the store at Heathrow is the first in a UK airport.
The cafe element is within the store and offers counter service and table seating.
Louis Vuitton said the cafe aims to convey a “playful and sophisticated” atmosphere and will be suitable for travellers from day to night with its all-day dining menu.
The company said: “From this gateway to the world, the excellence of Louis Vuitton and Cyril Lignac advance together as a new experience in savoir-faire and craft, a true destination within London’s Heathrow airport.”
The store will be open seven days a week from 5.30am to 10pm and has a walk-in-only policy.
