Kate Swann to chair Moonpig

Former WHSmith chief executive Kate Swann is to join online greetings card specialist Moonpig Group as chair.

The highly regarded Swann, widely credited for turning around WHSmith during her tenure and most recently chief executive of transport food specialist SSP, arrives at Moonpig as its sales hit £100m, Sky News reported.

WHSmith has reported strong trading at its travel division and performance in line with expectations at its high street arm.

Primark is to train 160,000 cotton farmers in India, Pakistan and China in environmentally friendly farming methods in its latest sustainability initiative.

Primark is running the scheme, to be completed by 2022, as part of its sustainable cotton programme, which targets the use of 100% sustainable cotton in all product categories, The Guardian reported.
