Convenience specialist McColl’s has poached Tesco’s finance director of product Simon Fuller to become its deputy chief financial officer.
The retailer said Fuller, who spent seven years at Tesco, will also take a seat on its operational board.
Fuller joined Tesco in 2008 as finance manager for stores distribution. He later served as finance director in its logistics and supply chain and retail operations divisions, before becoming finance director for food commercial in the UK.
Prior to his time at Tesco, Fuller held senior finance roles at BT and served as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
McColl’s chief executive James Lancaster said: “I am delighted to welcome Simon as deputy chief financial officer, and he is thrilled to be joining our strong financial team.
“His commercial astuteness and extensive experience in retail financial management will be hugely valuable as we continue to build our position as a leading neighbourhood retailer, investing in convenience conversions and acquiring new stores. We look forward to working with Simon.”
