Tesco’s Ken Murphy: ‘Inflexible apprenticeship levy needs work’

Murphy called for urgent reform of the levy, which he said was resulting in fewer apprenticeship schemes being offered than before it was introduced. 

The Tesco chief executive said the fund “needs work”, is “inflexible” and puts entry-level apprenticeship positions at a disadvantage against people already working in management roles.
