Patel controls probably more fashion brands on the high street than anyone other than Sir Philip Green (2). He has worked his way up from the shopfloor and is highly rated by Inditex’s head office in Spain. He has been a key figure in the development of the business in the UK and took the reins when Stefano Sutter moved to run the business in central Europe last year.
