Rugby-mad King is almost as proud of the success of the department store chain under his management as he is of his Irish roots.

The stores have been revamped, the brand mix shaken up, online has been launched and most recently a deal struck to open stores in the Middle East.

The transformation since the business was taken private in 2006 hasn’t been without pain, but the well-liked King has ensured it has put the business on a much stronger footing.
