Ede & Ravenscroft - one of London's oldest retailers and a leading supplier of ceremonial, academic and legal robes - has contracted KPOS to provide an EPoS and head-office retail solution for its six stores, in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh.
The solution comprises IBM SurePOS touchscreen tills, which are linked to a KPOS merchandising system at the Ede & Ravenscroft headquarters on Chancery Lane, London.
In addition, the solution includes a bespoke link from the merchandising system to the company's Web site, enabling the retailer to offer a full range of products to international customers via the Internet.
Founded in 1689, Ede & Ravenscroft sells on a reputation for a highly personal service. The retailer aims to improve upon this using the new system, which will enable it to have a better grasp of its inventory.
