Seasonal boost for part-time workers
Sainsbury's will recruit 10,000 staff to deck the aisles and ring the tills over the festive period. Each store aims to fill between 10 and 40 positions from the middle of next month to the beginning of January. A further 2,000 roles will be filled by staff from the retailer's Support Centre in Holborn.

Sainsbury's HR director Helen Webb said: 'At this very busy time for our stores we are looking for more people than usual to help us keep the shelves full.'

Sainsbury's has 756 stores and 68 per cent of its staff working on a part-time basis.
