If there is one group of people where the door to social mobility is often slammed shut, it is those who have been in jail. At Timpson, however, around one in 10 of the workforce have spent time in prison.
Chief executive James Timpson says as well as creating an opportunity for excluded people, the ex-offender scheme has brought brilliant colleagues into the business and contributed to its commercial success.
