John Lewis under fire for affordable housing plans

The retailer said in planning documents that it was aiming to make 20% of properties in its flagship Bromley development affordable, but that it would “always provide a minimum of 10% affordable housing regardless”.

It said this was “considered a significant benefit of the scheme and will make a vital contribution to the borough”.
