Flannels has opened a new luxury flagship store in the Metrocentre shopping centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, which promises to be “the UK’s leading destination for new luxury”.
The 50,000 sq ft flagship store has been called “revolutionary” by the brand and aims to bring a “groundbreaking fashion and beauty experience to the North”.
As a continuation of the wider Frasers Group strategy, the opening of Flannels’ fourth flagship reflects the group’s continued “pioneering elevation of UK retail”.
It will be the retailer’s first regional store to debut its new home category, which launched as part of Flannels’ Christmas campaign in its Oxford Street store earlier this month.
The Gateshead store will also offer Flannels’ first Burberry and Moncler fragrance counters, as well as the physical launch of its Dolce & Gabbana beauty offering.
Shoppers can expect a range of luxury brands across product categories including Tom Ford, Vivienne Westwood, Dior, Chanel, Versace and Jonathan Adler.
The store offers treatments in its Dermalogica skin room as well as beauty changing rooms, allowing shoppers to test and trial products.
The in-store beauty bar will also allow brands to host masterclasses for shoppers and one-to-one appointments with “beauty icons”.
Frasers Group managing director of premium and luxury David Epstein said: “As we draw a close to another strong year at Flannels, we’re excited to expand and bring the Flannels luxury experience to Metrocentre.
“The scale, proposition and brand offering to be discovered at Flannels is unrivalled – with fashion, beauty and home in one destination.
“This flagship store marks another milestone moment for the business as we continue to bring the ultimate luxury, fashion and streetwear experience to new audiences.”
