The visual merchants have been out in force in London lately. Retail Week takes a look at some of the more arresting windows.
Chanel uses cinema seats and vampish-looking mannequins, Thomas Pink resorts to Pop Art-style foxes as backdrops for its windows, while Pretty Ballerina floods its windows with pink-red light. A lot is happening in luxury-land as far as visual merchandising is concerned and here is our pick of some of tthe more arresting images that are out there at the moment around the better-heeled shopping streets in London.
Worth noting too is Harvey Nichols’ use of all of its windows along Sloane Street to advertise its food market - it’s a simple, but well-made scheme and one that almost automotically causes passing shoppers to stop and stare.
