Carpetright boss Wilf Walsh wasn't sure the wool had been pulled over his eyes when he spotted this 'Tesco store' in Luxor, Egypt. "Authenticity somewhat dubious," he tweeted.

Philip Dorrell, partner at Retail Remedy, was bowled over by one market on his trip Down Under. "Wonderful market stall in East Village Sydney, made even better by beautiful internal architecture," he tweeted.

Retail Week's very own head of events Victoria Hart had a pang of nostalgia when she was on holiday in Malta earlier this month. "Old school @hmvtweets store in #malta never too far from away from #retail", she tweeted.

Neil Saunders also tweeted this picture of convenience store chain Lawsons in Tokyo, which has 11,600 shops in Japan.
