Swedish fashion and shoe brand Axel Arigato has highlighted its minimalist pop-up in the country’s capital with captivating yellow light.
Used in the right way, colour is probably the most powerful tool in any retailer’s display armoury, and the Stockholm pop-up from Gothenburg-based fashion and shoe brand Axel Arigato is a case in point.
Destined to remain in place until the end of this year, this is a store that uses yellow features and yellow light to make its point.
Viewed from the outside, neon tubes flood the interior with yellow light, making this a unit that is hard for the passer-by not to look at, given the grey-white cladding that provides a neutral contrast for the exterior.
“As with all designer offers, stock is pretty thin on the ground, but that really doesn’t matter”
Inside, yellow has been used as a highlight colour, with a bright yellow shag-pile banquette in the mid-shop standing out against the grey and white of the rest of this minimalist interior.
As with all designer offers, stock is pretty thin on the ground, but that really doesn’t matter.
What is important is that old dictum ‘light the shop and don’t worry too much about the rest’.
In the UK, Axel Arigato has a permanent store on Broadwick Street in Soho.
