Westfield owner reports increased footfall and sales

The shopping centre owner of Westfield London and Stratford reported a 5.2% increase in total tenant sales for the first nine months in 2019.

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield registered strong footfall growth during the period in its European  and UK shopping centres – both reported increases of 3.1% and 3.9% respectively.

Rental income for the shopping centre division jumped 27.5% to €2,038.8 (£1759.13m). Turnover for the group jumped 26.1% to €2,729.7 (£2355.26m) which it attributed to the acquisition of Westfield Corporation during the period.
