Marks & Spencer has opened the doors to a new food hall in its famous Pantheon store on London’s Oxford Street.

The new-look food hall, which has just opened, includes features such as a pizza bar, chicken counter and cocktail wall, all designed to make the proposition more appealing and relevant in what is a landmark branch. There is also a British-inspired gifting range and a new coffee shop.

Marks & Spencer Pantheon store manager Stevie Foley said: “The reveal has been absolutely fantastic and the energy from customers and colleagues has been just brilliant.

“It’s been four months since we closed the doors for work to begin. Ever since, we’ve had a temporary food hall so we have been counting down the days. The before and after couldn’t be more different and we can now confidently say we’re offering customers the very best of M&S food. There are so many new things in-store to explore.”

The revamp of the Pantheon food hall is part of Marks & Spencer’s wider store renewal programme, which in Greater London includes six new openings on the back of a £90m investment disclosed earlier this year.

Marks & Spencer’s food business has been performing strongly. As well as drawing customers looking for product quality and innovation, the retailer has been focusing on enabling people to do a family shop in its stores and ensuring keen prices on staple goods.
