Luxury retailer Louis Vuitton has revealed it has been targeted by a cyber attack.

The French group said the data of some UK customers had been stolen but their financial data, including bank details, was not taken.
Louis Vuitton said an unauthorised third party had accessed its UK operation’s system and got hold of some customer information such as names, contact details and purchase history. Its Korean business also experienced a similar cyber attack recently.
The brand has notified the relevant authorities. The hack took place on July 2, according to Bloomberg.
The group has now been hacked twice, while another part of LVMH, Christian Dior, said in May that hackers accessed some of its customer data.
Louis Vuitton is one of many retailers to be targeted by cyber criminals this year, following an attack on Marks & Spencer that caused a complete halt to online shopping via its website for weeks.
The Co-op, Harrods, North Face and Cartier are among the retailers that also experienced similar attacks.
Last week, four people were arrested in connection with cyber attacks on M&S, Harrods and the Co-op.
These arrests came days after M&S chair Archie Norman told MPs that two other UK companies had been affected by unreported cyber attacks in recent months. He said the attack on M&S was like an “out of body experience”.
