British luxury fashion house Burberry has reopened the doors to its London flagship store on New Bond Street, claiming it “reinforces Burberry’s position as the modern British luxury brand”
Burberry said the reopening of the store marks an evolution of its original store concept and offers an “immersive shopping experience” as well as a new VIP area for selected shoppers.
The flagship store offers a range of womenswear, menswear, footwear, eyewear and other accessories with a “stronger focus on leather goods”.
Burberry called the flagship’s interior minimalist combined with “an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture” to aid the stripped-back design that emphasises Burberry’s product offering.
The store’s overhead lighting has been re-crafted to replicate its iconic Burberry check pattern, originally introduced by the brand in the 1920s, “referencing the brand’s rich heritage” within the flagship store.
Burberry chief executive Jonathan Akeroyd said: “We are excited to open the doors of our newly refurbished flagship store on New Bond Street in one of London and the world’s premier luxury shopping destinations.
“The store showcases our beautifully crafted products in a luxury setting that connects our customers with our brand and unique heritage.
“We look forward to welcoming back our local and international customers to our new home.”
