H&M has taken the top spot in Retail Week Indicator’s fashion ranking.

The Swedish fashion giant has invested heavily in digitising the shopping journey, both improving the basics such as product page visuals and delivery windows, and launching unique features such as the In-Store mode in it’s app.

In-Store Mode allows shoppers to use visual or text search or even scanning barcodes to find if the products they want are in stock in their size.

Retail Week Indicator evaluates digital capabilities across four performance categories: marketing; logistics and customer service; cross-channel; and ecommerce. All retailers were scored against each performance category as well as their financial performance. The category scores were aggregated to create an overall score per retailer.
