Cornwall-based outdoor apparel retailer Finisterre has opened the doors to its newest flagship store in Covent Garden, London.
The new 2,702 sq ft store is the largest of the retailer’s 11 stores and follows its “huge success” in the Covent Garden Seven Dials region. The store is an upsize on its existing location, increasing its space by 80%.
The flagship will stock Finisterre’s womenswear and menswear collections, as well as its technical performance swimwear, wetsuits and accessories.
The store will also be home to a repairs workshop and chillout area, which has been designed to “transform into a 50-seater cinema”.
It will also house artefacts as part of an installation by Australian surfboard shaper Josh Keogh.
Finisterre founder Tom Kay said: “The timing feels good for us to be moving our London flagship store to Neal Street in Seven Dials, Covent Garden.
“The open layout and increased size of the store will give our customers the ability to engage with the full product range in one place.
“It also means that we can run a wider events programme to better cater to our growing community in the capital, enabling more people to get involved in our ocean film screenings, talk nights and live music.
“Because of this, it was important for us to remain in the Seven Dials neighbourhood where there’s a great sense of community and engagement.”
